Our weekend

Matt has been off work..so that always equals a great weekend!
We ate Mexican for lunch on Sat. ( Presley told us very loudly, where everyone could hear..
 about her BOOTY!)
We didn't know if we should laugh or make her quiet, quickly! :)

We came home, relaxed and watched Life As We Know it ( GREAT movie!) Matt even liked it.. Will he said he did. :)
On Sunday, we planned on going to church.. but, instead I let Matt sleep in ( he has worked extra hard this week) Has even gone to work twice this weekend (his days off) just a lot on his plate right now! So, when he woke up.. He made us breakfast. LOVE HIM. Especially, since it was Chocolate Chip Pancakes! OH yeah!!
I made a pot of potato soup for dinner, and we started watching 2012, but, I was too tired.. so I guess we will finish it up tonight.

Ready for Spring. Yes, please. We had a warm day a few weeks ago.. and I was so excited to snap a few pics of my little sweetie in a dress. We are ready for park playdates!!

I am also looking forward to Ladies Bible Study tommorrow.. I have missed last 3 weeks, and have missed it so much! One thing I have really learned over the last few months is this word--Contentment. I have really realized how to be thankful for my many blessings. Yes, of course there are "things of this world" or material things that I would love to have..but, in the end.. its never going to fill me up. Our pastor, said one time.. we all have a vacuum shaped God hole.. And NOTHING satisfies us like HE and only HE can.

I just love that my little angel loves to read! We read ALL day..and every night before bed..I just love that she has even started telling me what the next page is going to say in some of her favorite books. :)

We didn't steal this book from the Bartlett Library, I know what you are thinking! lol
My mom bought it at a sale..and Presley LOVES it.. She has learned so many words from this book..its AMAZING!!

WE are also loving these Laura Numeroff books .. Presley just loves, "If you give a Pig a Pancake."
Chick-fila was giving them out with happy meals.. which I think is SO much better than a toy they could care less about. Good job, Chick-fila!

I am currently reading the book "The Help" ( which I am really liking so far)

I am so glad its FRIDAY!! I am ready for spring, too!! Aren't we all!!  Matt is off, and I am looking forward to some family time! :)

Memphis Trip

Hey! Sorry for not blogging in a while...
Presley and I went to Memphis last Friday and got back Tuesday night.. We rode with my friend Summer, and her little boy Ryan. ( Its so great to have someone to talk to.. to make the drive go by faster!)
I surprised one of my bf Courtney.. Her little boy, Carter had his 2nd party on Sat. and I kept a secret! :) He had a Mickey Mouse birthday..it was super cute..glad I got to go. :)
We planned the trip a month or so ago, when I found out my bf Paige and her baby Isabelle were going to be in town from LA visiting.
I was dying to meet her little angel, and I was honored to be able to take some pics of this cutie pie!

We got to see Gigi, Papa, and Colby for a few hours Sat. night.. and Grammie, PopPop, Nikki, Big Mama, and Granddaddy on Sunday for lunch. Laura and Kim also came to visit us at the Sharp's two nights I was in town ( LOVED seeing all my besties!). Then I got to visit with Paige and her family some on Monday.. Let's just say we saw LOTs of people in a short visit..
Next time, I will have to stay a little longer.. Its just too hard to only see my family for 2 hours or so.

Miss Presley got a little virus on Monday (and a fever, yuck) so she wasn't able to go to lunch with Paige and Isabelle :( Hated she got sick.. and hated I didn't get to get any pics of the girls together.. Oh well, maybe next time.
The car ride home was pretty hard.. Presley was super cranky, and I was at wits end..but, we made it! YAY! lol

She loved having Granddad take her outside to see the CHOO CHOO.. everytime a train passed by. I think next time they come to visit, we are going to have to plan a trip here--Entertainment Junction ( hear its a lot of fun..has the largest indoor train display in the world :)
And loved getting to see all her family, as did I.
Hopefully, Matt and I can make it back soon for a week or so.

Miss Cutie Pie

Presley is such an animated child. Everytime I pick her up from church nursery or mops..they say, Presley is so funny, she keeps us laughing!" I just smile and say yes.. me too! I love her sense of humor and her funny faces..she is a little ham.. this is for sure!
We had a fun little photo shoot the other day.. and here are just A FEW of her funny faces. LOVE her. to the moon and back.. then some!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Here is my little Valentine.. We went outside yesterday to enjoy the warmer weather.. I couldn't get her to look at me..so we just took a couple of pictures..then played! She is loving her Valentine balloon that Granddad got her!! She also HAD to bring her tricycle outside into the grass, too! I just LOVE this picture of my little angel.. Not posed, just candid and real. I was looking through at Valentine's ideas..and some are just so cheesy!! I was excited when I caught this one..of my love..loving her tricycle, with balloon in hand! :)

We had a great morning.. We went to Bananas with our MOPs group..and Presley HAD a blast!! Then we went to chick-fila for lunch, and over to Carter's for Presley's Valentine...PJS! This girl, got 2 pairs of   pjs for Valentine's Day because she keeps taking off her one piece zipup kind!! ) Hoping we have better luck with two pieces... I found some really cute ones on Sale!! YAY!

He will be so happy.. He is not one for material gifts.. but, he LOVES chocolate cake! And so do I!! :)

I am so blessed to have these two sweethearts in my life. They make me so happy!! LOVE you, Matthew and Presley.. my forever valentines!

Meet Daisy

Here's our little dog Daisy. She is the sweetest little dog ever!! She is a long- haired Dachshund. ..with the most beautiful color hair! Even has a few natural highlights! lol
We have had her for about 4 or 5 years now..And I realized, I rarely blog or even mention her! :( She is part of our family, and Presley's best little "puppy".. In fact, anytime Presley sees a dog in a book.. she calls it "a Daisy." :)
She is getting older..and it makes me sad. She was so great when I was pregnant.. made the best little cuddly buddy ever! She is a wonderful dog with kids..and Matt and I love her to pieces!!

I love every night before bed, Presley says..goodnight, Daisy ( in this sweet soft voice)..its adorable!! We love you, Daisy Mae!!

Our sweet friends, The Mckown's left yesterday for TN.. We went over and helped them as much as we could. It was so hard saying goodbye, and seeing Presley hugged Grey. I know they are still too young to really understand..but, its hard to see someone you care about move. It brought back alot of emotions for me ( I guess, that I have kindof ignored) about our move here to Ohio. It is hard to leave family, hard to leave best friends, hard to leave a place you have lived your entire life. It makes going back to visit so sweet, and makes you enjoy every moment you get with those you love. I do love being here in Ohio, don't get me wrong..just wish I was close enough to get in the car and be with my family more! Maybe one day...until then, I will cherish those moments I do have with them.

Over the weekend..

We had a great weekend, last weekend.. Matt's parents came to visit. We always have such a great time when they come see us! I am just now blogging about it, because I haven't been feeling well the last couple of days..
We got to relax, go out to eat, and have a date night with some friends watching the Super Bowl.
Presley also got some more Christmas presents, since we didn't go home this year.
She was pretty excited about this.. Her 1st Radio Flyer Tricycle!! I remember loving mine as a child, and have pics of my Granddaddy pushing me.. So, this are pretty special. Presley had so much fun having them here!

We can't wait until spring..so we can ride it outside!! :)

LAZY day

We have been staying inside a TON due to weather...so we are playing inside..all day! We get creative..but, for her birthday..Aunt Coco ( Courtney) got her a Dora Tent.

She just LOVES playing in her Dora tent. Today, I got in with her to have a tea party ( why else?:) and Daisy got in with us! :) She wanted in on the fun, too!
I am so looking forward to this weekend..my sweet in-laws will be coming in town. We haven't seen them since Presley's party the beginning of Dec. We always love to have company! :) Matt is off this weekend, so GLAD! yay!!

What we have been up to...

Alot of this! :) We have been at home for 2 days ( we even have ice today, so my Bible Study was cancelled :(
She is doing great...but, has a ways to go. I love how excited ( see below pic) she gets when she goes potty!
She asked me to go often...but, usually already has gone. I hear its easier to train in the spring or summer..which makes sense ( they can where less clothes) So, we are taking it slow. She got 10 stickers this week.. So, I told her we would get her something special. She is really loving Veggie Tales..so I may get her a Veggie Tale movie or something like that.

This is my favorite! lol..she just had to have Monkey with her! :)

Matt is working a crazy schedule this week because his boss and several other managers are in Vegas. He is working 8-6, so we are getting to see him every night, which is GREAT... Wish his schedule was more normal sometimes..It has been so nice for him to see Presley every night. But, I am so thankful for Carmax and his job. He is happy...and that makes me happy!
