Sick little Valentine

Poor Presley...was sick for Valentine's Day-- we ended up going to the Dr. and it was a bad sinus infection, beginnings of an ear infection- that was causing Conjunctivitis ( pink eye) It was so sad to see her with 2 red swollen eyes, running nose, and just not herself..
So glad we went to the Dr. so they could start her on antibiotics.. (Augmentin) is Presley's best friend this week! I can see a huge change.. and so excited about it!! Dr. Miller at Laurelwood Peds. is so sweet, I just couldn't be happier with her!
Here are a few pics of her opening her Valentine.. Matt picked it by himself.. so cute that he picked Hello Kitty:) This was pretty much all she was up for.
Matt and I did get to go grab some Sushi for lunch.. then had dinner at Bonefish Grill ( LOVE that place!) When leaving for dinner.. Presley blew us kisses and said, "Bye, Bye".. making us smile and melted our hearts all at the same time. WE are so blessed to have this little ray of sunshine..

By the way, Gigi was kind enough to make her a little spring dress using one of her Gap shirts that was so short.. I think it turned out SUPER CUTE, don't you?? Thanks again, Gigi! I can't wait to learn how to sew myself.. I kindof need a sewing machine, 1st huh?? :)
It only $ grew on trees:) but then saving wouldn't be so rewarding would it!?

Presley, someone is thinking about you..

All of these came in the mail today.. all together.. for Miss Presley.. I just love it! Grandparents are the best!!

Today, I was in the kitchen most of the day.. Thankfully, Presley took long naps today.. and was sweet enough to help me in the kitchen, too. We made lots of things today. Since Matt is off on Valentine's Day-We will be going out to eat- Yay, date night for us! So I thought, I would make him lots of goodies for tonight... I made the Hershey Bar Pies, Heart Shaped Sugar Cookies, Homemade Salsa and guacamole- then for Dinner made this King Ranch Chicken and Spanish Rice. WHEW! It was fun, but time consuming! Presley helped a little :)
I found the sunglasses I was looking to get Presley for Valentines; but they didn't have the swimsuit at the store I went to.. maybe at another store they will.. It is just too cute! I did however, find her another one at a consignment sale for $6 with the tags still on it! SCORE! I have a feeling we will be at the pool a bunch this year.. so it will be nice to have more than one! Also, I was a little hesitant to put her in a 2 piece, but it was just TOO CUTE. I had to! I'm sure she will wear the other one more.. but for $6.. it was a steal! Here are some pics of us whipping up our goodies in the kitchen.. Check out P in the background.. totally playing and not helping:) I am looking forward to making cookies with her lots in the future!Gotta love how she is playing with her toys in the background.. Cooking just isn't here thing :) Eating, however different story! :)

My little Model for the day.. Gotta love the Elvis impersonation in the lower left corner.. I mean her name is Presley, right? Gave Presley a very small cookie.. She LOVED it!
This plate was a wedding gift, and I just LOVE it.. Everyone needs one. I am excited to start using it for Presley for special occasions.. It makes me smile:)
Now, I am no betty crocker.. but these cookies were GOOD.. Homemade with love!

Valentine's Day Ideas....

Are you ready.. because we only have a few more days.. until Valentine's Day:)


Matt and I had planned on going out for our Valentine's Day date last night to miss the crowds.. yes we are getting old:) but, because of the snow, we will be going out on Valentines Day.. guess it was meant to be.. It is one of my favorite holidays.. I just LOVE it, and I love getting little goodies for my favorite man and now little angel!

I know for sure I am going to make this for Mr. Sharp...

HERSEY BAR PIE.. um, YUM!

• One large Hershey Candy Bar (milk chocolate) 8 oz (now I get 2 large chocolate bars)

• 18 large marshmallows cut up

• 1/2 cup sweet milk (I just use regular milk)

• 18 oz. Cool Whip

• Melt Candy bar and marshmallows in milk over low fire until smooth. Cool.

• Add 1-9 oz Cool Whip into chocolate mixture

• Pour into baked pie shell and keep cool until ready to serve.

Don’t forget to spoon a large helping of Cool Whip on your slice of pie! (I like to add chocolate sprinkles too)

Maybe I will do this too.. just to make him smile..

Presley however.. is getting this.. I know.. Summer is still a few months away.. But I couldn't resist the cuteness and the price.. Just hope I can find them in the store, I'm not the biggest fan of online shopping.. I like to see it in person..

Stealing kisses

I am a huge Ben Harper fan.. He is one of my absolute favs! I have chosen him to sing for you when you visit my blog... I am always singing this song to Presley.. I guess you could say its our song. She's somewhat resistant to my kisses at her age, I am looking forward to the day when I don't have to "steal" them anymore:)
~ One day I would love to see Mr. Harper in concert.. for now I will settle for the CD- LOL!

Presley's 1st Milkshake

Yesterday.. Matt and I went a grabbed some sushi for lunch, while Grandmommy and Granddad watched Presley..It was so good!! I think I could eat Sushi every other day!..Anyways, there was a Baskin Robbins next door.. so we HAD to stopped in and grab Chocolate Milkshakes to go--- They are AMAZING, one of my favorites! If you haven't had one.. ya got to!! SO, of course we couldn't eat in front of Presley without sharing.. that would be mean. SHE LOVED it!!!!! It was so cute to see her love for Chocolate just like her MAMA! :) The pics prove she enjoyed it.. and will be having many more in the future..
~While at BR, I saw a man with his little girl eating ice cream, it was just so sweet.. Can't wait until we get to have mommy/daughter, or daddy/daughter dates!!

My little Valentine

My friend Shannon asked me if Presley would model for her upcoming Valentine's Day Mini Sessions.. and of course we jumped at the chance! Go to her blog for more info.. she is booking up fast! I thought they turned out so ADORABLE! :) Gotta love her little attitude as well! She is a little Rockstar.. that is for sure! :)

MOMs Bible Study

I am so excited to start a new bible study... MOMs at Bellevue just started back today.. and it was AWESOME! We are doing a study called Run Well, Finish Strong. It is about living out a Christian life so that our Children see Christ in us.
Jean Stockdale is the teacher.. she is wonderful! She said something today that I thought was pretty cool.. We as Christian moms need to bring our kids up in the truth.. so we can release them well into the world. If we don't teach them the truth, who will??
It is so great to be able to learn God's Word, meet new Moms, and let Presley enjoy her little preschool friends all at the same time!
I set a few New Year's Resolutions this year.. and I am planning on sticking to them this time-- One was start a new bible study, check
~ another was to Run a 5k.. which is something I have always wanted to do.. Isn't God's sense of humor great.. I had no idea this was going to be the Bible study.. Guess I need to put on my running shoes and get on the treadmill like it or not! My goal is to do one in April.. so I am starting off slow.. but I am doing one. NO quitting this time!!!!!!!
