Rainy Days...

Sometimes its good to stop and smell the Roses, or the Wildflowers.. whichever :)

We have been staying in the last few days...since it has been raining, cloudy, and yucky! I love rainy days.. but they are starting to get a little old with a
16 month old.
Girl.
who loves OUTSIDE!
Today, I thought we MUST get out.. before I go insane.. In Memphis, I would have several people to call to go out.. here= NADA! I know it will get better.. but I am such a people person.. I want to push fast forward.. but, God is teaching me patience-- Oh, how impatient I can be! ha!
So, Presley and I went to the nearest Old Navy and got a few great finds.. I was in NEED of some shorts.. I am super picky about shorts.. I hate daisy dukes.. and I am wierd about colors.. Old Navy had these great ones.. for $15.. I got these and a brown pair without cuffs.. I thought I could dress up the cuff ones with some cute wedges for a nicer look...

You can't beat shorts that are perfect lenght, for $15! I also got these cute shoes for Presley for pool and spinkler park time.. they were only $7 and will look adorable with her bathing suits for the summer...So, after Old Navy.. we played outside for a little bit.. then it was time for a nap.. and Mommy is about to do the same! :)

16 months.. and a few weeks

At Cottell Park

Cutie Pie

Put yo Stunna Shades on :)

Watching Olivia

Well, sorry I am a little behind on the blogging.. It has been a crazy month.. we said goodbye to our home in Memphis... and are now getting settled here in Maineville, OH.. it really is such a nice place to live..and I am enjoying seeing new areas and places each week. Little Presley has been keeping me busy, too! She is sooo much fun.. However, she has started to throw little "fits" here and there, when she doesn't get her way-- somewhat stubborn- but, I know it happens at this age..so I am trying to be patience:) She is so independent! We went to story time at the local library the other day.. and she walked around the whole time, eating her goldfish, like she owned the place.. so funny, but I would rather her do that then scream --while I tell her to sit still
( what she was doing until I gave up:) I am getting to know more people.. I know I can't rush friendships, but I was so comfortable with my friends in Memphis.. but, I know this is all part of the process.
Presley is loving our daily walks to the mail box, meeting new friends in nursery on Sunday mornings, and being a little monkey, getting into EVERYTHING:) She loves Olivia, Sesame Street, and Backyardigans.. She is somewhat picky about her food.. not horrible, just sometimes doesn't eat what I give her.. no clue on weight--getting HEAVY :)
Just the other day, she was in a cabinet she shouldn't be in.. when I told her No, she tapped me on the shoulder, leaned up and kissed me!! I couldn't help but laugh, and be in shock! :) This moments make me sooo happy to be at home with her, and so very thankful to Matt!
I know God will provide for my needs for friendships and to get more comfortable in a new place...sometimes the wait it the hardest part.

Happy Mother's Day!

This is the best gift in the WORLD, these two!!
I had my 1st Mothers Day in Ohio.. And it was WONDERFUL! Just being Presley's mommy is the best gift in the world! Matt did well.. her surprised me with some really sweet favorites of mine..It was nice to wake up to beautiful flowers and thoughtful gifts from my two favorite people! But, the best part of my day was visiting a new church.. 4 Corners Community Church in West Chester.. it is a great place-- and we plan to continue going back! On the way over, I told Matt thanks for the gifts.. but having us go to church as a family is the best gift he could ever give me. He was excited for us to get back in the routine, too.. and we were very happy to find such a great church, that preached God's Word and have many outreach and missions-- which I am excited to be a part of! The pastor preached on what Mothers want for children.. spiritually speaking.. and it was Awesome! It was a really great sermon.. and I am looking forward to the next.
On to lunch.. wow! Follow this link on over and see for yourself.. it was soooo good! We will be going back:) It was a perfect place for a Mother's Day lunch! http://www.ophmontgomery.com/
Presley was getting pretty sleepy by this point.. so we headed home for NAPS.. Gotta love Sunday naps!!
Then we just spend this quality time together.. as a family.. and no pictures were taken today. As crazy as it sounds, I just wanted to soak up today, enjoying every moment.. with no worries about "capturing" everyone. I love pictures.. but, today was too special.. to get caught up in it.. so sorry.. no photos of the day. Here are a few I took of Presley the other day-- we had fun.. enjoying the beautiful day!
She is loving this horsey ( we call it) and loves making "silly face!"

I love this picture.. She makes me the happiest mom on the planet!!

4 years with this sweet guy!

April 29, 2006

So I am a little behind on blogging with the move.. but, I have to blog about my 4 year Anniversary to this guy:

He is AMAZING.
We dated for 5 years and 2 days.. and April 29, celebrated our 4 year Anniversary.
He is a wonderful provider, and allows me to stay at home with Presley = PRICELESS!
I am one blessed girl! He is my best friend and the best daddy I could ever ask for.
I love him..I think I will keep him:)
I got him a few things.. and he told me when my phone upgrade comes around ( July 1) I can get the an Iphone. Yippee!
It is so funny though.. during this last month.. through the process of moving and getting rid of lots of "stuff," I realized how much it is just that.. "stuff"
This verse came to mind..

~So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor. 4:18

I am excited to see what God has planned for us here in Ohio.. but one thing is for sure, I am loving seeing HIM in the little things.. the simple things.. and as much as I love to shop ( I do not lie).. I am trying hard to focus on spending quality time with my family.. and enjoying a beautiful day, one of the many beautiful parks around us, and making new friends --example this sweetie pie God has placed in my life -- check out her blog.. she's the coolest!
http://theliferearranged.wordpress.com/

I also thought as a mom, I want Presley to see Jesus in me.. not always wanting to spend $, but teaching her to save it!
I have this verse in my kitchen..
~ The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalms 23:1
This is so true.. All I need is HIM.

I even thought about Mother's Day coming up.. and this is all I want..
A day at chuch with my family.
A lunch out to a fun place.
and this for my little itsy bitsy flower bed that I just adore! So excited to a kit for Presley's sweet little hand!!

Our new home... on Huckleberry Lane

The Sharp's live here now:

Can't wait to grill out on the patio!

Loving this kitchen, love that it is white.. LOVE all the cabinets.. they are HUGE!! :)

Living room.. needs paint.. but, we are waiting.. there are sliding glass doors to the patio.. and then we have a door from our bedroom to the patio, too

Just one of the many of God's creatures I get to enjoy here:)

Hey everyone! Well, we finally made the move.. and are getting settled in! I can't believe how much I am loving my new home!! I am sad to leave Memphis, b/c of family and friends.. but, I feel SUPER safe-- this area is so nice that we live in..We have the very back, end townhouse.. so you would really want to come see us, to see us! LOL! I love the closet space here, and am really loving the setup.. only thing I miss.. and will miss mostly in the colder months is the garage isn't connected to our house.. it is a little walk down our sidewalk.. but I will survive.. and get some exercise!!haha
I feel like I am on a resort, the landscape is just beautiful, and there are sidewalks leading up to the clubhouse, with beautiful lakes and fountains.. all which have geese, baby geese ( my fav.), and ducks! I just love taking Presley on our morning stroll around this community.. Not to mention all the BEAUTIFUL parks in the area.. they are EVERYWHERE!! Lots have sprinkle parks, too.. which I am excited to see P play in this summer! We also have a tennis court, beach volleyball, pool ( which opens the end of the month!), fitness room, tanning bed, playground, etc.. see what I mean about resort!!?? :) I have gotten most of the boxes unpacked thanks to my sweet friend, Kim who drove up this past weekend to visit:) We had so much fun, and I am excited about her next visit!!
P.S. We see bunnies EVERYDAY!! Two of them greeted me one my first day here.. just wish I had my camera ready!! I will one day.. promise.. More pics to come soon.. of the grounds!
Oh, and the Wal-Mart here is AMAZING!!!! never thought I would say that!!!haha:)

Roxy; Our 1st puppy.

We had a very hard day today.. We found a sweet family here in Memphis to take Roxy. Wow.. Was it hard! We are so grateful we found a home for her, and the family gave us their info to stay in touch.. but, being the "mother hen" I felt like I was giving away a child.. I know she will be ok.. but, that didn't make it any easier.
Matt also left for Ohio today.. so he will be starting his first week this coming Monday. Last night was our last night together, with Roxy.. in our 1st house we built together, and have so many memories together.. It has be really hard.. but I trust that this is God's plan. I am just ready for us all to be together in our new place. In a week, it will be here!

Cinderella

Matt and I have loved this song.. even before Presley was born.. We have prayed together for her future. Matt made it a tradition to dance with her on her birthday.. and every other chance he could. I think the relationship a daddy and his little girl have is PRICELESS.. It is so fun to see how much she loves him.. and how much he loves her. Today, we were on our way out the door and she was just saying, "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy..." over and over and over... We couldn't help but laugh.. Her first and favorite word.. Daddy. I couldn't help but think of our heavenly father.. that loves us unconditionally.. No matter how many times we mess up, or don't spend time with him.. He is still there.. Loving us. all the time. always there. loving us.
Matthew 6:31-32 Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
I am thinking this would be the perfect song.. for father/ daughter dance.. thank goodness I have awhile!!
~NOTE: I cry.. more like BALL.. when I hear this song, so grab a tissue ;)
