Her favorite color is orange.

Its been TOO pretty to be sitting inside.. so me and this blue eyed girl have been enjoying it!! Presley says her favorite color is orange if ya ask her.. and this week she has wanted to wear her orange shirt several days.. so guess she isn't kidding..
And for the record her favorite number is 8, and animal is elephant. She told me that this morning.

Gotta take Monkey out so he can enjoy this beautiful weather :)

Love this picture, it was pretty sunny..so its not the best quality..but, super cute!!

I don't see this look very often, LOL!
She didn't wanna go inside!

But when we are inside, we make the best of it!!
Love these flashcards Gigi got us!

Yesterday one of our neighbors, Amye (her boys Luke and Jake) went to Owl Creek Park to let the kiddos play. Presley and her famous shirt.. she kindof reminds me of a candycorn in this outfit :)

LOVE the messy ponytail look :)

Presley and I stayed at home today.. we had a lazy day.. love those. just the 2 of us. It would have been even better with Matt, so glad we have him for the weekend!!
We cuddled on the couch, watched Bambi 2, and had fun in the playroom.. putting together puzzles, reading, and playing with my old Calico Critters and dollhouse.. She LOVES it :)
These are moments I am cherishing! I know I need to have a clean house, get to the laundry, take a shower, ha!, and the many other things on the list.. But, lately, I have been really trying to spend more time focusing on P. I usually do "my list" during her naps.. but, I just want to enjoy every moment. It goes by too fast!!
Her serious look I love.. and those blue eyes melt my heart!!
I LOVE this messy ponytail and this little sweetheart, brightens up my EVERYDAY! I am blessed more than I could ask for.

She loves rolling and sliding down the hill in the backyard :)

SWOON!!!!

liked it in BW, too :)

Great fall weekend

We have had a great weekend. We were invited to a super cool birthday party on Friday. Ben and Joey's astronaut party was a BLAST! :)
I took pictures are here are just a few.. Like I said, too much fun! Presley LOVED it, and even assisted on blowing out the candles.. Whoops! Yeap, I was that girl screaming NO... as she blew her heart out. Gotta love her. We played lots of fun game, and ate snacks, and cake..of course.. The party ended with a fun hitting of the "Moon pinata" with glow in the dark balls, glow sticks, and candy up for grabs.

On Saturday, Matt got home in the afternoon and we took Presley to get a special toy for doing awesome at potty training! She picked out an Angelina Ballerina movie..and we took her to Pie in the Sky for some yummy pizza for dinner. LOVE family nights!! :)
Today we had church, which we are really loving.. great sermon today... and headed over to Costco for some great deals on Carter PJS, if you have a Costco card, the fleece Carter PJs are $8!! We are about to fire up the grill and cook some fish, vegetables, and enjoy a nice cool night.  LOVING fall weekends!!

Who needs pants?

Presley and I are trying to enjoy the last few days of the warmer weather... popsicles just aren't the same in the fall and winter :) She had so much fun rolling down the hill in our backyard, it was a little scary for me..but, I know she has to enjoy being a kid, too. :)
She wanted me to paint her little piggies, pink.. Aren't they cute!?

Goodness..

She is an ANGEL!!

Love this black and white! ;)

We are staying busy with Mops, Bible Study, Moms Together, Awana and Ballet.. Love having a full calendar, especially with the colder days ahead. Presley loves being with other children, and since we choose to not put her in preschool yet, its good for her to be around them a few days a week.
I can't say enough how happy I am to be living in Nashville. I can totally see God's hand in our last few moves, and the friendships he has placed in our lives has been AMAZING! I love all my neighbors..We all  are in the same walk of life, and get along so well. It makes Matt traveling SO much easier! A couple nights this week, we have been on walks or played in the backyard with our friends..so blessed! Seems like no matter what, if we got on a walk someone is outside doing the same.. its like a wisteria lane..but, friendly, lol!
Two of the couples in the neighborhood are adopting, so we had an ice cream social to help raise $.. just another great way to get us all together for a great cause :) Sadly, I only got a few pics before my camera battery died.. Just a few:
Taylor and Presley excited to eat some ice cream :) Maybe Presley was a little more excited.

Adorable Joey

Cutie pie, Noah.. His family is one of the ones who are adopting :)

We are a DIAPER free house!

I am SO excited to post about this!! My little girl is potty trained!!
We are still putting a pull-up on at nap and bedtime, until we start having dry mornings..but, no more diapers!!
She has done great!! We started last week, and stayed at home a couple days.. then over the weekend Dad, Denise, and Nikki came to visit..so we went to the mall for several hours, and she told us everytime she needed to go and stayed dry the entire time!! We did some serious running each time and people in the mall probably thought we were crazy, especially since Presley was driving one of those cars with a basket you push.. and we were on a mission.. to stay dry.. and she did! YAY!!!
She has a few little accidents, but, all in all she is doing WONDERFUL!

It was great to have Grammie here to help reinforce the praise! We had so much fun, and were sad to see them go. Its so great having family and friends come visit..it really makes living away from home easier.
I am thankful for each visit! I didn't get any pictures while they were here, because it rained most of the time..Hopefully, next time we will have some sunshine. :) Although, Presley did sing, "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine..." to them several times.. which they adored! It was one of the ones I sang alot as a child, too. I gotta video her singing it.. Its just precious!!
One of the first days we stayed home I snapped a couple pictures.. She was too cute and so proud of how well she was doing!

Love watching her eat mac n cheese!
She thought her way was easier :)

Potty Training 1,245

Ok, not really.. But, it feels that way.
We tried a couple of months ago, and she just wasn't ready. She had too many accidents to count, and I didn't want to get frustrated with her..so we stopped.
So, after seeing lots of friends in "big girl" panties..and talking about it more and more..I thought since Matt is out of town and we don't have many plans this week, I would give it another try.

We went outside yesterday afternoon, and took the potty chair with us. She last 30 min or so with no accidents, but didn't go to the potty either. I was beginning to wonder??
So, we came inside and she went twice in a 4 hour period with no accidents...until right before bath time. She had a small one. But, this is MILES past our previous experience! I was shouting and praising..Jellybeans, stickers, m&ms oh my!! Today, we did have to get out for a couple hours, and I put her in a pullup..But, she has been in "big girl" panties since naptime and has only had one accident.

I also told her if she said dry for several days we could go to the store and pick out some big girl panties.. She said YAY, CARS! lol.. ummmm.. How about Princess or Dora... She said OK! (thank goodness)
It was pretty sunny outside, so we didn't last long.. maybe as it gets cooler we can keep doing this.. Makes for easy clean-up, too!
I'm just so proud of her, and as much as I would love for this to be an overnight thing..like it is for some, it just isn't. It's something that is going to take time, she is going to have accidents, and it may just take a while. I'm ok with her not growing up too quickly, so how ever long it takes.. That's ok by me. :)

What we have been up to...

We enjoy the weekends, since that is when Matt is always home..
We had some great eats.. Cajun Steamer ( which was AMAZING! Coconut Shrimp, cheesy grits, fried green tomatoes) and Noshville Deli..BOTH very yummy!! We will be back!
We also grilled out one night, and enjoyed playing in the backyard.
We watched a movie, and enjoyed our favorite movie snack, popcorn.

Presley is loving getting new movies.. We got her Bambi 2, which is SUPER cute!! She really enjoys getting to pick out a movie for us to watch. Nemo and Fox and Hound have been other favs.

I am ready for fall! This weekend after 6, it felt GREAT outside!! I am so ready for cooler weather, Starbucks caramel hot chocolate, jeans, and long sleeves.

Matt is ready for football! I am pretty excited to watch it.. He is doing 5 fantasy footballs.. so he hopes his "teams" do well.

Presley is keeping us laughing. Her laugh can light up the room!

She is singing, "Jesus loves me, " "Itsy bitsy spider," and "ABCs" daily and its so so sweet!
Presley is saying she loves us more and more..and I love to hear it out of nowhere.. sweet sweet moments like this make being at home with her worth it ALL!

Showing her Monkey some LOVE.. SO sweet!
