It is only a 2 hour drive, so we got up early on Friday..and got there little after lunch. We ate at the Terminal Brewhouse..so yummy..then headed to the Marriott where we stayed to get settled and let Presley take a nap. After she got up, we went to the Art District.. and saw some really COOL fountains downtown..lots of kids were swimming and playing.. Presley loved watching! Then we headed over to Tony's for dinner. It was so good!! Presley loved that they gave free chocolate ice cream to sweet little girls, too:)
The next day, on Saturday, we took her to the AMAZING aquarium. She loved seeing the fish, sharks, turtles, sting rays, butterflies, etc. Matt bought her a stuffed penguin, which they named "Wilbur" ( don't ask, my husband's idea) and she asks where Wilbur is often now.. haha.. even wants to sleep with him.
Then we had lunch at Sweet Pepper's Deli ( one of Matt's and I fav. places in Memphis) no longer there so we were excited to grab lunch here! Then after naps, we took Presley to Coolidge Park to play in the sprinklers and ride the carosel.. it was fun, but super crowded.. so we didn't stay long.
Dinner that night was wonderful..highly recommend Sticky Fingers BBQ.. it wasn't Memphis BBQ or my Uncle Mark's ribs.. but, it was pretty good!! Then we took a pedal ride a few blocks down to Ben and Jerry's ,, what a TREAT! It was such a beautiful weekend.. and even better that I got to spend it with my sweet little family! I am so blessed, and love having little fun weekend adventures to new places!! I would highly recommend Chattanooga, lots of stuff to do.. we will be back for sure!!
