Gatlinburg Trip

We have been super busy.. WE had so much fun in the mountains, with Granddad and Grandmommy!! It was so relaxing!! WE enjoyed sitting on the back porch, watching the stream...a couple days it rained and thundered lots.. so that was fun, too! There is something so great about being outside during a storm, but staying dry! :)
I took LOTS of pictures, mainly because, Matt only got to come up for the weekend. Presley got to get in the stream for the first time, it was a special time! Matt has been getting in it, since he was in his mommy's belly!! :) He really enjoyed getting to fish..sometimes he takes no time for anymore. We enjoyed some good eats, and quality time with family!! We were so sad to leave, but...thankful for the time we spend! I will post more pics later, I have been too busy potty training to do much of anything else :)

This week we have started potty training.. and WOW! It has been a hard couple of days. I have come to the realization today, that I am not going to push it ( i feel like I am at times), or get it "complete" within a couple of days. I could have the typical mommy guilt..like why isn't she getting it like others...which, honestly, I was beginning to think yesterday. But, tonight it hit me..She has done AMAZING in just 3 days. She has gone pee-pee many times, (I would say 20-30 in last 3 days) and almost made it to #2 tonight..Went in front of potty:) not in it..but, I was thrilled she ran to bathroom. She is use to doing it standing up in a diaper, so it made sense to do it standing in bathroom, I suppose :)
I hear all kids are different, and they will do it when they are ready, not when Mommy is ready. I know that, but, it really hit home today. Presley is still having lots of small accidents! (like right next to potty ones :) She does get a sticker and a starburst jellybean if she goes, so there is a reward..which, I think is really helped us! Tonight, it made me laugh.. She is doing SO great in some many areas..numbers, colors, shapes, etc..why do I feel like she needs to learn potty in a week. It took her much longer for ABCs than a week!!
So we are going to keep talking potty, encouraging it, but, I think we are going to do pull-ups for a little while..at least until she starts caring a little bit more when she is wet..or just caring more in general. :) I am sooo very proud of her, and tomorrow we are getting out of this house!!! I am sorry, but, those who stay inside for a few weeks.. to each their own, I would rather change wet clothes and have some sanity left!!Lol! 3 days has been LONG enough!
I know she will get it, and it will happen when she is ready. I am going look back and probably miss these days of potty training.. well, maybe :)
