Fun weekend with The Beachs'

This was a great weekend.. Kim and Cameron Beach came to spend the weekend with us.. Kim and I worked together in Memphis.. and they both.. are just the sweetest of friends. The got in on Thursday and left this morning.. We were sad to see them go! We had a lot of fun.. and can't wait to hang out again.. Here are some pics of our fun weekend.. We ended up going to the Cincy Zoo.. which was awesome.. but, has lots of hills to walk..let's just say ya get your exercise! We also ate at the Cheesecake Factory.. a highlight for everyone! Mostly, we spent just chilling!

Well, I have had a busy day..running errands, bought groceries..back home..all before 11! My sweet friends, Kim and Cameron Beach are on their way to see us..and I can't wait!! Matt and I just love these 2.. they are soo thoughtful, funny, and so much fun to be around.. you know, the couple you can tell anything to.. and know it doesn't leave the room, the ones you can get really excited about chocolate milkshakes together..the ones who love Jesus and share the same faith in him you do.. ya know.. those.. oh, and NEVER talk about themselves or how cool they are! :) Gotta love those kind!
Anyways.. while shopping today.. I was thinking about a few "baby" things I just can't leave without..
First, this sound machine is AWESOME.. WE just got it ..and I can see how we could have use it when P was smaller, too.. I love it because it has Rain/Ocean/Twinkle Twinkle, etc.. to drown out some of the noise.. and P seems to just love it.. so win/win.. I also love that it has a timer.. I usually put it on 30 mins. It also has a projector which I never use because it isn't dark until 9pm here in Ohio..but, I can see how that would be cool in a dark room.
Second, I love Johnson and Johnson products.. I know some of my friends' babies have had skin issues and have to use other things.. But, I am a Johnson, girl! The smells of the lotion and powder are just staples at our house.. But, I just started letting P take bubble baths..and we are loving this new scent.. Sweet Melon! I also saw Honey Apple one .. which smelled pretty good, too.. But, I liked this one better.



Third, I can even tell ya how much $ I have saved buying these babies! I love TARGET DIAPERS!!!! They not only DON't leak like Huggies/pampers.. but They are $13 a box! I also love the polka dots.. We use several brands before these..and hands down..MY FAVORITE! I did however, love Pamper Swaddler newborn..when she was a tiny baby. I also, buy Target sensitive wipes..and love em' too!

Found this today, and thought they were too cute to pass up! For $2 something, and she is better at keeping these in her hair.. I love hair bows..but, this is a easy, fun alternative.

Looking into this future...oh me!

I am not saying I won't buy a potty chair.. but, I am thinking we are going to try this first.. It just seems like less cleanup, and easier to teach if we are all going in the same place! ha! Found these two.. I really like them both, and the princess one.. she would love.. so I will have to research these a little more.. I just pray she catches on quick to potty training!

And when she does.. I can buy her some of these! :) She loves Minnie.. so this will be a perfect reward!

Bath time...

P loves Bathtime.. She gets sooo excited! Here are just a few pictures I took last night.. She is getting to be such a big girl! It is sad and fun..all at the same time. She is saying ALOT more words, she loves to say Circle ( all shapes to her = circle), Daisy, Dada, Hungry, All done, Bye bye, HI!, Bible, Monkey, Snack, Outside, and OtT OH!! We are just loving her to pieces..and soaking up every moment.. So many friends have kids starting kindergarden..and I know its just right around the corner.. Wow, does time FLY!


We are going to meet up with Lindsey and Beth tommorrow + kiddos..to go to the GAP Distribution Center Outlet in KY tommorrow.. I hear it is awesome.. so we shall see! I am going to be looking for P some great deals on fall clothes.. hopefully, we will find some!

Painting and such..

Matt and I talked last night..and we have loved that P has a painted room so much.. that we are going to paint the guest/Presley's bath next week.. I am excited, but a little color can really change the look of a room.
This is the color we are going to paint.. It's called Latte.. and I will be getting the Paint person at Lowe's to match the color.. so I can save a little.. since, we are renting.. We aren't willing to pay high dollar. I loved the color, with white..and think it will look great with hot pink accents!

Do you think I need another hand towel? Or just one? a different color? Maybe white??

HAHA.. ran out of pink spray paint.. so I gotta get more..and finished this.. I plan on sanding the edges!!

Thinking about transforming it into something like this.. I just LOVE this room.. But, on a tight budget.. I am going to stick with Green instead of blue.. this was a quilt my GREAT grandmother made.. and its super special.. now, anyone know where to get some cheap curtains, my bed is pretty close to this one.. But, this room is very small.. and I have our computer in here as well.. So we shall see.. don't think I am going to paint in here.. just not sure how long we will be here..

Going Private

Hey everyone.. I have decided.. which I kindof hate.. to go PRIVATE.. just because I sometimes love to read blogs of friends of friends.. I don't know...but, I have gotten a few comments ( none from wierdos) where I didn't know the person.. and I just wanted to go PRIVATE..Mainly, because I do tell a lot about myself and family, and because I put LOTS of pics of P on here. I hope everyone understands.. I have sent an email to most of ya.. but, if you want to be added to the list.. just let me know..and you will just follow the email link to see the blog.
I went to a great place for lunch today.. If you like sushi.. Iron Chef is GREAT! ( Cincy people)
Matt, Presley, and I went.. came home.. and took naps.. Great Sunday! We didn't make it to chuch this morning.. WE all got up in time.. but, Matt has worked INSANE hours lately..so I just let him be lazy..so we will be back next week!

My 29th Birthday

SO, today is my birthday.. YAY!
One more year to the BIG 30. BOO!
I think this is the last one I will celebrate..:)
Today, was a great day.. I got LOTS of facebook messages, and phone calls..I AM SO BLESSED!! But, it was hard being away from family and friends, and Matt working the closing shift 3rd night in a row..so usually getting home around 11-or 12.. That has been kindof hard..
Just so happy I was about to spend the day with P.. she was so good today.. I think she knew it was my birthday. lol
We were pretty lazy this morning.. and then after here nap.. I ran to Hobby Lobby to get a few things..
And, then I went to the Outlet Malls to pick out a North Face jacket for my Bday..
Family sent me $ so I was gonna save it up, to get a nice jacket for the cold winter days ahead.
I was super excited to find out..not only is it a North Face outlet, but, everything was 30% off!
So P and I picked out a jacket ( which I LOVE) and headed back home.
Let's just say I saved MUCHO!
I can't wait to celebrate on Sunday with Matt and P ( its his next day off)
And the Beachs' are coming next week.. so there will be more celebrating to be had! I am so excited to see those two.. Kim and Cameron.. hurry up and get here!! :)
Matt has a gift for me. I haven't seen him to get it.. But, I did get some new shoes for my birthday.. so I am a VERY happy camper!!

Ok, I am a big DORK, but, I am home alone ( p has been asleep) its my bday.. Matt is still at work..So, I think I can take pictures of my birthday gifts, right? I know.. DORK!

Please avoid looking at my no makeup, non- fixed hair, self.. Just the jacket, K? ;)And if I can get sushi and cheesecake this weekend.. I will be a VERY happy Birthday girl :)

Things I am loving at the moment..

Ok.. I LOVE Bath and Body Works.. esp. because I love their FOAM soaps.. Right now, they are on sale, too! I am loving Kitchen Lemon for the kitchen, and Island Nectar for our master bath.. P has sweet pea in her bath.. They smell so good, and last a while! So go get ya some!

My favorite..hands down.. little indulgence.. SO good!

Now that I am a stay at home mommy.. I really don't buy clothes for me anymore.. way more fun to buy for P...I bargain shop more than ever.. It is fun to make your dollar go further. I hate paying full price for anything... So I really enjoy shopping the sales when it comes to Presley's clothes.. I have found that the Once Upon a Child here in Ohio..is a great place to find deals.. and I love babyGAP, Old Navy, and Carter's for P, too. Crazy 8s and Gymboree are great, too.. just sometimes Gymboree is overpriced.
