Good Times!

We have had a great week!! Matt was in Nashville all week and weekend! Presley has really been enjoying her pool.. she LOVES to be outside, and asks to swim daily :) I am so glad she is enjoying it, and its nice to be at home sometimes and swim.

Matt and I really love this little place in downtown Franklin, called Puckett's.. so we went back Sat mid day. Matt had the yummy breakfast buffett, and I had a cheeseburger and fries.. IT WAS A GREAT BURGER!!! I looked on the wall and saw that it was voted #1 in lots of things.. Matt and I got dessert..he got the blueberry cobbler with ice cream..YUM! I have the chocolate chess pie with whipped cream on top.. WOW, it was GOOD!!!!!Must stop there if you are ever in Nashville!

Then we went rug shopping, and found one we really liked at Lowes. Pretty excited, to find one that goes with everything. I also, have been spraying painting everything in sight. I am pretty happy with how things are starting to come together in our sweet little new place. It is very cozy, which I LOVE!
We also got locked out of the house..BOO! $$$$ later, we got back in. So lesson learned, get spare keys made, ASAP!
We also had some yummy Mexican food at this great place within walking distance called Las Palmas. SUPER good! I think I could eat Mexican every other day, and my little girl LOVES it, too! She ate as much as me! :)
We hated to see Matt leave again, but, excited he will be returning in a couple of days..then he goes to Knoxville, and we are going to one of my FAVORITE places on earth.. the Smoky Mountains with Matt's family.. so excited.. Such a relaxing place. And it will be our first time to stay in Matt's parents new house:)

Matt also put together a special birthday present from Grammie and Pop Pop.. We wanted to wait until we got in our new place, so it wouldn't get damaged in the move.. Presley was SOOOO excited!! I was, too.. because it helps organize her toys! I can't wait to get the playroom all organized and decorated! I also can't wait to see her open gifts this Christmas as excited as she got! :)

Here is a taste at my spray painting adventures: I ran out of paint, so I will finish it soon.. but, for now.. MUCH better than the cherry red it was!! 

 I am falling in LOVE with this color!!! I am doing yellows and blues in the kitchen... so more pics to come :)

Daddy

I love hearing Presley said that word! She LOVES her daddy!! The relationship between a father and daughter is so priceless! She adores him, and he lights up more than ever, when she is near! We have really enjoyed our little backyard/patio area in the afternoons..and LOVE that he gets home earlier to enjoy it with us! I am so annoyed at myself.. I didn't realized my iso was up to 1800 with this pics, so photo friends ignore the grain! ( i did the best I could to save these precious pics) UGH!

Presley has the greatest personality, she keeps us laughing! She loved putting her swimming float on her head and walking around with it :)

Memorial Day Weekend

We are really enjoying having Matt home for the weekends.. ever since he started at Carmax, he has worked most weekends..but, this new job allows him to be home for them! YAY!!

So, he got home Friday night..and I was feeling a little under the weather, so he was excited to put Presley to sleep and I went to bed early.
The next day we didn't do a whole lot..which was so nice! We did go to Martin's BBQ for lunch, which was so yummy, and because I didn't feel up to cooking..we went to dinner at Pie in the Sky and ate on the patio..when it feels good outside is a perfect setting to me! We also have been enjoying our little patio and backyard area..so relaxing to sit out there in the afternoons.. When its not so hot!
Then on Sunday, we visited Fellowship Bible Church..which we REALLY liked. The people were SUPER friendly, and Presley enjoyed learning about baby Moses :) We plan to go back! Then we ate lunch at Uncle Bud's Catfish, again trying new places near us :) That night, I cooked one of my favorite casseroles and we watched a movie together.. I just LOVE watching a movie with my man!! We watched Couples Retreat..it was pretty funny! :) Next time, I plan to have popcorn and m&ms! :)
On Monday, Matt was off (yay!) so we had a lazy morning, then ate lunch, let Presley take a nap, then headed over to our friends the Mckown's parents house in Lebanon. We went swimming ( which Presley LOVED!!) She did great with her floaties..first time to wear them! :) Next, went to their house for lunch. It was so yummy..we had the works! I brought a Heath Bar Cake that I made the night before.. It turned out so good! Its one of my easy, yummy favorites! I also didn't take ONE picture the entire weekend, except with my phone. It was pretty great to enjoy the "moments" without worrying about carrying a bulky camera around!
This weekend was extra special to me because I have 2 brothers that currently serve in the Army and are both actively on duty overseas. I am SO thankful for ALL the men and women who serve and have lost their lives to protect our country and allow us to have the freedom we do. Let us remember them and their precious families daily!!

LOL, ok I know those commericals annoy everyone!! But, Miss Presley spotted them today..and let's just say I caved in. I let her pick from all the choices..and she was very attached to the dolphin. So the dolphin pillow pet is the newest member of the Sharp household. Her name is "Marina" She is rather cute, I must admit...and it matches those beautiful blue eyes below!

We went on a walk, and when we got back.. i took a few pics of Presley in this sweet little summer dress. ( it was a little too bright for pics, but we had fun) Poor Daisy was trying to potty, and Presley was right up in her personal space, lol!
I am loving these pretty days where we can get outside!!! Looking forward to getting her pool ready soon!

On another note, she is LOVING Veggietales..so I am thinking that just may be the 3rd bday theme. I know its a little early, but, I am a planner! :) She also LOVES wibbly pig. I know I am going to get her some of his books for sure!! He really is TOO CUTE, we love that he is ondemand! If you haven't seen him, check him out.. The show is on the cbeebies under kids..BBC..Its a really cute show!

I have had several people say Presley reminded them of Shirley Temple.. So I did a little comparison for fun.. So cute! I LOVED Shirley Temple when I was little.. so I may have to invest in some DVD classics for my little cutie pie :)

Wordless Wednesday

I am getting settled in our cute place in Brentwood.. starting to slowly decorate and make it look like a home. I have so many plans for the playroom...just need to be patience..and find things I really LOVE. Miss Presley's room still has nothing hanging on the walls.. but in time..it will happen :)
I promise to take pics once everything is finished.. I am changing Presley's bathroom completely.. I am doing a "fish theme" and its looking so cute!! I also have LOTS to paint..since I changed the colors in my living room..I gotta get busy spray painting!

Presley is keeping us laughing.. This morning was a first, she woke up, opened her door, came down the stairs, walked into our bedroom and said, "Good morning, Mommy!" lol
She also is talking up a storm..and becoming a little too picky at times. When it comes to the TV, she wants to watch Dora, and 5 min later, she wants to watch Veggie Tales!! She is also keeping me busy in the kitchen, with, "I want strawberries, I want pretzels, I want milk...etc" :) Ah, the joys of this little girl!!

She loves to play outside..and I took some sweet pics of her the other day playing at Grey's. She LOVED the sandbox, and I am keeping my eye out for a small one.
We plan to get her new pool up this weekend..gotta get an electric pump.
