Reds Date Night

The other day.. Matt's parents came to visit for a few days.. It was soo nice having family in..It really makes living in a different state easier..when we have people come see us :)
Matt won tickets through work to see the Reds play.. We were super excited to have a date night..just the two of us.. So they put P to bed..and we went to the game.
It was long overdue! We had so much fun..and so glad we could have a night for just us! It was an amazing game.. they won in the 10th inning! Love close games! Love going to baseball games.. not a big fan of watching them on TV.. but, LOVE being at an actually game.. And since my fav. color happens to be Red.. Well, this was an easy team for me to root for! :)



Before we left for the game.. I made a birthday cake for Matt (since his bday was the day before) Big 29! I made a yellow cake with chocolate icing..his fav... we sang happy birthday..and P loved every min. of it! She helped her daddy blow out the candle, too.. ( more like tried to touch it:)

Our vacation

We are a little behind on posts! We had a wonderful time in Grand Haven.. it was so BEAUTIFUL..and a nice break with my 2 fav. people! WE got to see lots of sunsets, eat great food, and of course, relax!
One night one, Presley did great.. it was late when we got in.. so she slept wonderful in her pack n play.. on day #2.. she figured out how to climb out!! So, it was pretty hard getting her to sleep for the rest of the trip. Other than that.. everything was perfect.. Here are some pics of our fun stay!

I am so excited! Matt, Presley, and I are going on our first ever family vacation..well, just the 3 of us.. My sweet friend, Lindsey told me that her parents had a condo right on the beach in Grand Haven, MI.. and it was open for the dates we needed!! It worked out perfect!! We were thinking about going to the east coast..but, it is too far.. This will be about a 6 1/2 hour drive..so not too bad!
She tells me that it is a wonderful place with lots to do.. She was even sweet enough to print me out a list of places/restaurants to go to! :) which are all in walking distance for the most part-- how cool!
We are going to be coming home on Matt's birthday.. I gotta think of something to get him.. I am always clueless when it comes to him.. He just never wants anything..lol
SO, I won't be blogging for a week.. going to relax and have fun with my 2 favorite people!! I just can't wait to see what Presley thinks of sand!! Here is a picture above I got off google.. Lindsey said the lighthouse it super close.. Just wish I had my nice camera.. but, I guess it will make me relax more.. and not be so worried about taking pics...I also, have my little camera..prob. be easier to keep up with, too!
I AM SO HAPPY!!!! VACATION HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am bringing some good books, too.. so hopefully during P's naps.. I will get one read! :)

I am so excited to say.. I am starting to eat better and exercise... I have tried it some in the past..but, never got serious.. Tonight, my grocery basket was full of healthy snacks, and whole wheat everything. I am also SUPER excited, because one of my new friends, Suzy (she is a sweetheart, this girl! :) is going to train me!! I have always wanted a trainer..someone to motivate me.. tell me the do's and don'ts
I have a workout gym in the community I live in..and I am about to actually walk in it and exercise!! whoo hoo!
I really am getting motivated..and Suzy has been a HUGE help! I love Cherry Coke Zeros..didn't even buy them.. trying to drink just water...at home..then maybe a Coke every now and then.. I am ready for a change..ready to lose a good 15..Wish me luck, people! Wish me LUCK! :)

by Thanksgiving..hmm..then I may have to break a few rules! :)

Also, bought Matt a very boyish blue lunch bag, box ( knew he wouldn't take it otherwise) I loved it because the inside was hard plastic, so your food doesn't get smashed, and it has a divider for your drink that you can take out..Gotta love Wal-mart! .. Already made him lunch.. Pray he takes it! lol

She is a big encouragement to me,too-in so many ways! I am so blessed to have so many friends that love me the way they do!

Love Love Love this girl.. And her pregnant belly! :) Paige and I have been best friends since we were in the 7th grade.. We rode on a bus to Shocco Springs.. ( church youth camp) and our lives were NEVER the same! She is such a sweet person.. who I can tell anything and everything to.. She is such a supportive friend, and is there for me no matter what. She gets me, she loves me, and she is a rare jewel.
I was soo excited to take her preggo pics.. but, we ran into a big problem.. My camera (nice Canon Rebel) is broken.. Long story.. but, just learn from my BIG mistake..always put in the memory (cf card) in correctly.. then pins can break super easy. or bend.. A very expensive matter.. $200 plus shipping to be exact..
But, I am over it.. Things happen.. so I use my older camera.. and just did a lot more close up shoots.. I was very happy with them.. and Paige thinks I should do it for a living..haha..I have TONS to learn..but, it would be a fun career! Maybe one day...
We had so much fun..and I can't wait to meet her little girl( she is keeping the name a secret) which I teased her for.. but, all in good fun. :) She will make an amazing mom..and I can't wait for her to experience the blessings of motherhood.. esp. to a little girl..who will be an angel for sure!

Park playdate with Summer and Ryan

Yesterday.. the weather was PERFECT! Summer and I talked..and planned to meet at Cottell Park..then head over to Chick-fil-a to have lunch.
It was so much fun.. Presley and Ryan had a great time! Love getting to know Summer better.. so great to have a friend here from back home.. We have so much in common because of that! We both laughed.. because we have fbook... we still know everything that is happening in Memphis.. feels like I never left sometimes! But, can't imagine moving back!
Never say Never.. but, I am really loving it here.. and am so HAPPY God had different plans than the ones I thought were best! :)
We have also planned a roadtrip ( just us and the babies) to come home in Oct.! We are both looking forward to seeing family and friends!
