I have had several people say Presley reminded them of Shirley Temple.. So I did a little comparison for fun.. So cute! I LOVED Shirley Temple when I was little.. so I may have to invest in some DVD classics for my little cutie pie :)

Wordless Wednesday

I am getting settled in our cute place in Brentwood.. starting to slowly decorate and make it look like a home. I have so many plans for the playroom...just need to be patience..and find things I really LOVE. Miss Presley's room still has nothing hanging on the walls.. but in time..it will happen :)
I promise to take pics once everything is finished.. I am changing Presley's bathroom completely.. I am doing a "fish theme" and its looking so cute!! I also have LOTS to paint..since I changed the colors in my living room..I gotta get busy spray painting!

Presley is keeping us laughing.. This morning was a first, she woke up, opened her door, came down the stairs, walked into our bedroom and said, "Good morning, Mommy!" lol
She also is talking up a storm..and becoming a little too picky at times. When it comes to the TV, she wants to watch Dora, and 5 min later, she wants to watch Veggie Tales!! She is also keeping me busy in the kitchen, with, "I want strawberries, I want pretzels, I want milk...etc" :) Ah, the joys of this little girl!!

She loves to play outside..and I took some sweet pics of her the other day playing at Grey's. She LOVED the sandbox, and I am keeping my eye out for a small one.
We plan to get her new pool up this weekend..gotta get an electric pump.

Greyson's 3rd Birthday

This past Sunday, we went to the Mckown's to celebrate one of Presley's best buddies, Greyson's 3rd bday..It was so much fun! He and Presley are so excited to be back in the same city again! These are the sweet friends we meet in Cincy..to later "follow" to Nashville. I just happen to have my camera on me..so I snapped some pics, until the battery went dead. lol.. it was tired from our Chattanooga trip. :)
I would love to save up for an external flash, because indoor pics are just not my friend. I just know they could be so much better..but, that's the perfection coming out! :)

We went yesterday to Monkey Joes to celebrate with him on his actual birthday.. Grey and Presley had a BLAST!! We will be back for sure! :)

Chattanooga Weekend Getaway

Matt has been working so hard, that we thought a weekend away to somewhere close would be fun for our little family!! Matt had been to Chattanooga before, this was Presley and I's first time.. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!
It is only a 2 hour drive, so we got up early on Friday..and got there little after lunch. We ate at the Terminal Brewhouse..so yummy..then headed to the Marriott where we stayed to get settled and let Presley take a nap. After she got up, we went to the Art District.. and saw some really COOL fountains downtown..lots of kids were swimming and playing.. Presley loved watching! Then we headed over to Tony's for dinner. It was so good!! Presley loved that they gave free chocolate ice cream to sweet little girls, too:)
The next day, on Saturday, we took her to the AMAZING aquarium. She loved seeing the fish, sharks, turtles, sting rays, butterflies, etc. Matt bought her a stuffed penguin, which they named "Wilbur" ( don't ask, my husband's idea) and she asks where Wilbur is often now.. haha.. even wants to sleep with him.
Then we had lunch at Sweet Pepper's Deli ( one of Matt's and I fav. places in Memphis) no longer there so we were excited to grab lunch here! Then after naps, we took Presley to Coolidge Park to play in the sprinklers and ride the carosel.. it was fun, but super crowded.. so we didn't stay long.

Dinner that night was wonderful..highly recommend Sticky Fingers BBQ.. it wasn't Memphis BBQ or my Uncle Mark's ribs.. but, it was pretty good!! Then we took a pedal ride a few blocks down to Ben and Jerry's ,, what a TREAT! It was such a beautiful weekend.. and even better that I got to spend it with my sweet little family! I am so blessed, and love having little fun weekend adventures to new places!! I would highly recommend Chattanooga, lots of stuff to do.. we will be back for sure!!

Memphis Flood

While in Memphis, we visited downtown to see all the flooding that recently happened. It hasn't been that flooded since 1937! Here are some pics.. the lighting wasn't great..super sunny still..so I did the best I could. It was amazing to see the water this high!

We are excited that its starting to warm up.. It has been cloudy here the last few days.. and we are ready for park playdates..and to play in our new pool! I found this pool on craigslist for $10..org. $40..only been used once..the lady is only getting rid of it because they have a neighborhood pool. I can't wait to get it up and running for Presley..she has been asking to go swimming almost every day! Can't beat $10 find and LOVED that it has a little slide...too cute!!!

WE are also super excited, because tomorrow night..MATT GETS HOME!!! WHOO HOO!! After SEVERAL weeks of him working out of town Mon-Fri.. we are excited for him to be home!! He will start his new schedule soon..where he will be traveling..just not 5 days a week and will always have weekends off with us! We are going to take a family getaway trip to Chattanooga this weekend.. and I can't wait!!!

Mother's Day, Memphis Trip and More

So sorry I have been MIA. I went to visit family in friends in Memphis two Wednesdays ago, and since Matt was in Lexington doing the training for the Grand Opening of the new store, I stayed until this past Friday. It was SO nice to get to spend time with all the people I love!

Here are some highlights...

~ Got to see my sweet in-laws.. they are so much fun, and are so great with Presley!

~ Got to see bestie, Court..we ate Mexican at El Porton on Cinco de Mayo, then we headed over to the Arlington Square for a quick photo shoot with the kids..Will be posting some of sweet Carter on photo blog soon. Another night, she took me to Yolo ( such a treat) she was my date to Paige's brothers wedding.. it was so nice to have a GNO! and Presley got to see her sweet friend, Carter.

~Got to see BF, Paige and her adorable family.. Isabelle is just a gorgeous baby girl..and Donny is so much fun.. LOVE them!! It was a fun night!

~ Got to see my Mommy, Papa Jock, and Colby.. Presley loves Gigi ( my mom) and I was so happy the weekend feel on Mothers Day for us to spend some quality time.. We also meet her for lunch at her new job one day...let's just say Presley didn't want to eat..and made it hard to visit:) But, it was great seeing her!!

~ Got to see Grammie, Pop Pop, Nikki, and Big Mama and Granddad..and Uncle Mark one night, too. Got to enjoy some of his DELISHISH ribs..which alone was WORTH THE DRIVE! :) I am so excited, I think we are going to have a cookout at my dad's for Matt and I's 30th this year.. Yes, I will be 30. :( ancient. lol

Nikki and I had so much fun..even took some fun pics with her one day. She and Presley played in the pool a little one night..and we enjoyed a yummy home cooked meal by sweet Big Mama one night.

~ I got to have lunch with Laura one day..it was short and sweet, but loved catching up.

~ Got to go to Spaghetti Warehouse with Pop Pop, Grammie, Presley, and Grandmommy and Grandad. Then we went to look at our flooded downtown.. crazy I can tell Presley she got to see this historical event!

Overall it was SO much fun... I also got to see Matt for a few mins one night.. He drove in just for a Grizzlies game one night..so it was great to see him..since we went 2 weeks without him! I am so blessed to have him..and I can't tell you how proud of him I am! :)

The boxes are unpacked...

This week has been super busy.. Movers came on Monday, and we left for Nashville..thankfully, I had lots of help from Granddad and Grandmommy! :)
The movers delivered our things on Tuesday afternoon. I unpacked..unpacked..and unpacked.
On Thursday, my sweet friend, Kim came to stay the weekend to help me unpack some more, and organize. She was SOO much help!!
I haven't taken pics of our new place yet.. they are coming.
I also celebrated 5 years with the sweetest man ever. He is so good to me, and I am blessed to have him!! We were so excited that Kim offered to watch Presley, so we could go on a date.
Yummy sushi restaurant in Cool Springs and Water for Elephants was a perfect way to spend it. We are also going to take a vacation soon..whenever work slows down for Matt. I am so excited..thinking about going to the beach. But, may wait until September, so its not so hot.
